Quarantine Nutrition and egg recipes
INTRODUCTION
Last year we had faced some unwanted words, which, the world would never have used if this covid had not shocked the world and the result of this, is a new term- QUARANTINE (of Humans). Because of covid, humans are isolated and quarantined for some days. They have to stay away from their family members, check themselves for fever and throat infections, eat according to doctor’s recommendations etc. Now the main concern for the infected person is healthy nutrition or EAT SMARTER which takes away the stress and shows how nutrition works.
Especially during lockdown and quarantine, people are particularly bored and stressed. The stress pushes them toward overeating, mostly looking for sugary “comfort foods”. This desire to consume a specific kind of food is defined as “food craving”, which is a multidimensional concept including emotional (intense desire to eat), behavioural (seeking food), cognitive (thoughts about food), and physiological (salivation) processes.
Quarantine related stress also results in sleep disturbances that in turn further worsen the stress and increase food intake thus giving rise to a dangerous vicious cycle. Therefore, it is important to consume food containing or promoting the synthesis of serotonin and melatonin. Protein foods like eggs are the main sources of the sleep-inducing amino acid tryptophan (a precursor of serotonin and melatonin)
Chicken eggs provide the highest quality dietary protein of all. The building blocks of egg protein (amino acids) are more beneficial in composition than any other food except breast milk. Chicken eggs are also an excellent source of minerals, calcium and iron and are rich in vitamins A, D, E and the group of B vitamins.
A problem for people with metabolic disorders: Chicken eggs contain a lot of cholesterol, about 250 milligrams per piece and also contain the emulsifier lecithin. This substance inhibits cholesterol absorption in the body because it binds cholesterol to itself. So, it can no longer pass through the intestinal wall.

Home Workout
Why it is important to do exercise during quarantine?
We all know how important is to do exercise regularly, it helps to improve overall health, improving your cardiovascular system, endurance, and overall stamina but now with this pandemic situation more than ever it’s important not just for the maintenance of your physical health, but also for your emotional wellbeing. Exercise improves positive affect (which is your tendency to feel happy emotions and interact with the world in a positive way), increases energy, and reduces feelings of tension. Some researches have shown that doing exercise protects against depression, decreases stress and anxiety and improve cognitive functioning (this means it helps you on your ability to think, remember and understand which is really important during quarantine to stimulate your brain).
It’s also important to know that long periods of isolation with limited exposure to sunlight and normal daily activities can perturb your sleep cycle. You may find yourself having difficulty falling asleep or maintaining a normal sleep cycle. That’s why it’s so important to maintain a workout routine, at least a few minutes a day.
Exercising will not make you immune to covid, but it promotes blood circulation which improves your immune system components like antibodies and white blood cells to attack foreign bodies more quickly like the COVID-19 coronavirus. Now it’s the perfect time to start training and fight against the sedentary lifestyle!!!
