Marczika Andrásné Dr. Sörös Csilla - MATE Research
Overview
Dr. Csilla Sörös is a food chemistry scientist. Her research focuses mainly on the analytical chemistry of food constituents including pesticides, mycotoxins, poly-halogenated (such as PFAS) compounds or food additives. Another area of her research belongs to the field of collodics including contact wetting tests. By connecting the two research topics, for example, the wetting ability of plant protection spray formula can be examined, which can also be supplemented with pesticide residual data in crops.

https://doi.org/10.1016/j.talanta.2005.11.025The aim of this research is to develop an environmentally friendly, practical method using different yeast strains that can be easily implemented in small- and middle-scale farming to achieve a significant yield increase. Severeal strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and other yeasts are used as biostimulants in various ways to augment agricultural benefits. By measuring different parameters (e.g. growth parameters, antioxidant capacity) we investigate the effect of these treatments.
